The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old suspected armed robber, Friday Oghenemaro, and recovered a locally made Beretta pistol in Ozoro. The suspect was apprehended on February 9, 2026, by operatives of Ozoro Division during a township patrol.

According to reports, Oghenemaro is a member of the Aye confraternity and has been in possession of the gun since his secondary school days. He was arrested with two others, and investigation is ongoing.

In a statement, the Police Public relations officer of the State Command, SP Edafe Bright disclosed that the State Police Commissioner, CP Aina Adesola, praised the officers involved, emphasizing the Command’s commitment to intensifying visibility policing and intelligence-driven operations to curb crime in the State.

The public is urged to remain law-abiding and provide timely information to the Police, as collective cooperation is key to sustaining peace and security in Delta State.
