The Zonal Commanding Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Zone RS2HQ, covering Lagos and Ogun States, Assistant Corps Marshal Ann O. Oladayo, has called for deeper collaboration with the Nigerian Army to enhance road safety and security in Lagos. She made this known during a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, at the Division’s Headquarters on September 9th, 2025.
In a statement by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 81 Division, Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, Assistant Corps Marshal Oladayo said the visit was to familiarize herself with the Division following her recent appointment and to strengthen ties between the FRSC and the Army. She emphasized the need for collaboration in training, joint operations and emergency responses, while assuring FRSC’s readiness to support in areas such as driver licensing, vehicle registration and driver training.
Major General Mijinyawa, while welcoming the Zonal Commanding Officer, congratulated her on becoming the first female Zonal Commander of Zone RS2HQ. He reaffirmed the Division’s commitment to sustaining its relationship with the FRSC and praised the Corps for its efforts in reducing road accidents and promoting safer mobility in Lagos.
The visit was attended by senior officers of 81 Division, including the Chief of Staff, Commander 81 Division Provost Group, Commander 81 Military Intelligence Brigade and a representative of the Commander, 75 Supply and Transport Brigade. It featured the signing of the visitors’ book, exchange of souvenirs and a group photograph.
