On Friday, 11th October 2024, a landmark event took place as the newly appointed Area Commander of the Nigeria Police Force, Otta Area Command, ACP Oladele Oluwasola Bamidele, visited His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, the Olota of Otta, in Aworiland. This visit holds historical significance, as ACP Bamidele became the first woman to be appointed as Area Commander in Otta, and indeed, across any command in Ogun State, marking a notable step toward gender inclusivity in law enforcement.
