An organisation, Psalmist Missionary Global Outreach Inc., says that it has commenced its maiden South-West zone Extreme Search, N50 million reality TV show audition in Lagos.

Speaking with newsmen at the audition ground in Ijegun, Lagos on Tuesday, the organisation’s President, Evang. Abuoma Chuka, said that the programme was a Christian-based reality TV show.

Chuka, who gave the motto of the audition as: “Promoting Godliness, Good Morals, Cultures and Adventures”, said the criteria for selection were how adventurous a person was as well as his/her level of smartness, intelligence and obedience.

“Nigeria is a nation with very smart youths. We find out that when you leave them without engaging them with positive activities, automatically, they will shield the negative ones.

“That is the reason for the lots of vices in our society; not that we have dull or lazy youths, we have intelligent youths who are very smart.

“The criteria for selection are smartness, intelligence, being able to obey simple instruction and being 18 years and above; we are really ready to develop what our youths have,” he said.

Chuka said that the final TV audition would hold at Obudu Cattle Ranch in Cross River, adding that the winner would go home with N50 million and a car, while all the 20 contestants would also go with attractive cash gifts.

While stating that the audition would be very rigorous, he said that the reason for the reality show was to shield Nigerian youths from all sorts of immorality and correct any appearance of immorality as a Christian body.

In her remarks, the South-South Coordinator of the programme, Miss Princess Okechukwu, said that the organisation wanted to get their fitness as well as godly and social life through the audition.

Okechukwu said that their willingness and participation in the audition would go a long way in selecting the participants from the South-West zone.

According to her, the winners who emerge from the zone will proceed to meet with other contestants from other zones of the federation.

Okechukwu said that five participants would represent each zone from the South-West, South-South, South-East and the North.

Also, the South-South Secretary, Ms Constance Wali, said that the programme was to promote godliness, good morals, culture and adventure.

Wali said that the audition was coming at a time when the society was really in need of change, where the children were becoming famous and being celebrated.

She said that the organisation came up with the project to see how it could curb evil in the society by making the youth to understand that God could still make them famous, while the world would celebrate them.

She said that the audition process was to select five participants who would go into the jungle to search for something that would be a representation of godliness, good moral, culture and adventure.

On his part, Mr Richard Emmanuel, the audition instructor, said that the idea of coming out to take the youth on fitness training to use their strength was great.

Emmanuel said that the audition would bring the youth together to focus on the purpose of God for their lives.
