In response to the removal of their deceased child’s organs in a hospital in Asaba, the family of Mr. Promise John has filed a complaint with the Delta Police Command.
After a newborn boy admitted to the El-Comfort Hospital was officially pronounced dead on October 10, the alleged deed allegedly took place.
The infant was brought there on September 29 but died after 11 days in the intensive care unit, where he was given oxygen, according to John, who informed reporters about the incident.
He claimed that when they transported the corpse to the medical facility, the eyes, ears, and portions of the face had been removed.
“We reported the incident to the police, but from the way they handled the investigation, it seemed like they were attempting to avoid giving us justice.”

The police only charged the nurses who were on duty and not the hospital, the father claimed, adding that the case was now in court.
The nurses had been released on bond, John added, and he wants the administration to be punished as well.
DSP Bright Edafe, the police public relations officer, stated that the case is still pending.
He was cited by NAN as stating, “There is no sense joining the hospital because the nurses on duty were arrested and charged to court.”
