The Ogun State Police Command’s Quick Response Squad (QRS) has arrested two suspects, a father and his teenage son, for unlawful possession of a firearm. The suspects, Joseph Kehinde, 38, and John Joseph, 13, were apprehended along the Shagamu/Ogijo Road axis.
A search of the younger suspect yielded a locally made pistol, one live cartridge, and a mask. The suspect claimed the firearm belonged to his father, leading to the father’s arrest. The suspects and exhibits have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
Ogun State Police Commissioner, CP Bode Ojajuni, commends the operatives’ vigilance and reiterates the Command’s zero-tolerance stance on illegal firearm possession. Residents are urged to report suspicious activities through the Command’s emergency lines.
