In a decisive push against malaria in Nigeria, the initiator and sponsor of the Geneith Health Competition have lauded student leaders across tertiary institutions for their enthusiastic adoption of the initiative aimed at eradicating the deadly disease.
Prince Cletus Ilobanafor, initiator of the Geneith Health Competition, alongside Mr. Emmanuel Umenwa, the project’s sponsor, commended the coordinated participation of Nigerian students in the campaign. Represented by national presidents of their respective unions—Comrade Josiah Peter Oche (NAUS – Universities), Comrade Oyewumi Festus Ayomide (NASPS – Polytechnics), and Comrade Edunjobi Samuel Oluwaseun (NANCES – Colleges of Education)—the students were hailed as vital drivers of grassroots engagement in malaria prevention.

The Geneith Health Competition is powered by Coatal Forte Softgel, a high-efficacy antimalarial treatment designed to combat acute and uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum. The initiative seeks not only to promote the use of effective malaria treatment but also to eliminate health education barriers across Nigeria.
Beyond awareness, the competition is designed to empower youth through structured activities including campus workshops, health walks, and community outreach efforts. These events aim to equip students with essential knowledge in malaria prevention while cultivating leadership skills in public health advocacy.
