Globacom has donated ₦1 billion to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) to boost security infrastructure in Lagos. The contribution is one of the largest private-sector interventions in the Fund, reinforcing Globacom’s commitment to public safety and national development.
The donation will support critical priorities like security helicopters, drones, and digital communication equipment. LSSTF CEO, Dr Ayo Ogunsan, praised Globacom’s “powerful demonstration of corporate citizenship”.
Globacom sees security as a shared responsibility, investing in the conditions that enable commerce to thrive. The company’s social responsibility initiatives include relief efforts, youth skills training, and digital inclusion programs.
Dr Ogunsan urged Lagosians to support organisations investing in safety and development, saying “their support directly impacts protection of lives, property, and economic activity”.
