The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has executed several infrastructural projects at 192 Battalion (Rear), Owode-Yewa, Ogun State, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and improving the welfare of soldiers and their families.

The projects, commissioned by Major General Adebayo Babalola, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division Nigerian Army, include:
– Fencing of the Battalion Arms Store
– Construction of a new Guard House
– Upgrade of the Medical Reception Station
– Renovation of the Regimental Sergeant Major’s residence
– Construction of quarters for ten Corporals and Below
– Installation of a solar-powered water point
– Establishment of five additional sentry posts
– Construction of new Married Officers’ Quarters

The GOC praised the COAS for his commitment to troops’ welfare, saying it directly impacts morale, discipline, and combat readiness. The Olu of Owode-Yewa, Oba (Rev.) Akindele Mathew Sunday, commended the COAS for the projects, which will enhance healthcare delivery and community development.
