Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has expressed confidence that victory of the All Progressives Congress in the 2023 general elections is a foregone conclusion.
Gov. Umahi who spoke to state house reporters shortly after a private audience with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential villa, Abuja on Friday day, said whosoever cares should know that the ruling party will be returned to power come 2023.
The governor further noted that he loves the approach of the Labour Party presidential candidate for the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, to his desire to rule the country, but was quick to express confidence in the All Progressive Congress (APC) chances in the 2023 general elections.
He added that Peter Obi’s movement is a movement that may not translate to outright win.
Umahi, while dismissing the claim that Peter Obi’s movement is the reason there is relative peace in the Southeast, said security is generally improving in the country.
The governor said that he was in the villa to invite the Present to commission, sometime in October, a state-of-the-art Governor’s lodge he built in Asokoro, Abuja.
