The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area, Otunba Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, has received a delegation from The Gnosis Help Initiative, led by Barrister Olumide Kayode-Omosebi, to discuss the upcoming “IKORODU, E DIDE” Awareness Campaign. The campaign aims to address rising domestic violence and child sexual abuse in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
With alarming statistics showing Ikorodu’s concerning position in spousal violence and child defilement, the partnership seeks to educate families, inform victims of reporting channels, and reinforce child protection laws. The campaign is scheduled for February 26, 2026, at Agric/Family Bus-stop, Ikorodu West.
The Chairman emphasized Ikorodu West’s commitment to being a “Zero-Tolerance Zone” for abusers, inviting community leaders, youth advocates, and residents to join the movement. The Gnosis Help Initiative is partnering with the Lagos State Police Command, NBA, and DSVA to bring this initiative to fruition.
