Two known bandits who were causing havoc in the state were shot and killed by the Kaduna State Police Command.
A firearm and ammunition were also found by the state police Command on the bandits.
As stated in a statement by DSP Mohammed Jalige, the state Command’s spokesman, “The Command had at about 0800hours of October 12, 2022, received an information that some heavily armed bandits in large numbers were sighted around Idasso area of Kidandan in Galadimawa District of Giwa LGA on a mission to commit an atrocity against law-abiding citizens.”

He added that the Command quickly dispatched a neighboring crack unit to the area to advance there and stop their evil purpose after receiving the information.
The PPRO claimed that the tenacious cops engaged the robbers in a furious gun battle as soon as they arrived and were successful in neutralizing two of them, while others managed to flee with varied degrees of bullet wounds.
According to the statement, a quick check of the area resulted in the discovery of an AK49 rifle that was loaded with 24 live rounds of ammunition and one bandit’s functional motorcycle.
According to the statement, a 65-year-old male abduction victim named Yusuf Dahiru was also successfully freed unharmed, and it was noted that the operatives are currently searching the surrounding area to catch the evading band of marauders.
The sacrifice that officers and men of the Command continue to make every day to reestablish public order and normalcy in our state has been acknowledged by the Commissioner of Police, it was stated.

According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police also gave them instructions to keep cooperating closely with other security organizations and to increase public confidence in order to carry out their responsibility of securing public areas.
According to the statement, local residents had been urged to contact the closest security formation if they discovered somebody who had been shot.
