Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, has called on Nigerians to prioritize Godly endeavours and positive relationships with their neighbours, fostering communal harmony and national development.

Speaking at Ramadan lectures in Mushin and Agege, Hamzat emphasized the importance of unity, patriotism, and family values in building a peaceful and prosperous society. He noted that a positive national mindset and collective responsibility are crucial for stability and sustainable development.

“The breakdown of the family unit is our greatest challenge, with far-reaching consequences on social and economic stability,” Hamzat said, stressing the need to restore moral values and parental responsibility.

Islamic leaders echoed the call for unity, with Alhaji As-Sheikh Abdul Majeed Sheu Ayinla urging Muslims to promote peace and coexistence with people of other faiths. Imam Muslihu Adebola Afisis emphasized justice, good governance, and civic responsibility in fostering a prosperous society.

The leaders urged citizens to take pride in their country, promote harmony, and work towards national development.
