The Eternal Sacred Order of the Morning Star and Saint Michael Star Fountain of Life Mount Zion (Saint Moses Orimolade Pro-Cathedral, also known as Mount of Testimony) has celebrated its 100th anniversary at its national headquarters in Festac Town, Lagos. The historic centenary drew members, visitors from outside the country, clerics and dignitaries in a vibrant rally that combined worship, thanksgiving and reflection.
Presiding over the celebration, His Most Eminence, Respected Spiritual Father Joseph Adenaike (Benadin) JP, Baba Aladura of the Morning Star Church Worldwide, described the milestone as both a joyous occasion and a symbolic convergence of all white garment churches. He emphasized that the various white garment denominations can trace their foundations back to the life and ministry of Saint Moses Orimolade, regarded as the original Baba Aladura.
The late founder was remembered as a saint whose life bore signs of divine ordination from birth, with extraordinary attributes that pointed to his calling. His legacy of holiness, sacrifice, and unwavering service to God and humanity was highlighted as a guiding light for the church and the nation.
The anniversary which was also the 68th annual general conference of the Church, was positioned as a call for unity, with renewed emphasis on bringing together all white garment churches under one spiritual bond at what was described as an appointed time. Attendees were urged to draw deeper lessons from the life and times of Orimolade, using his example as a framework for service, faith and collective growth.
The rally featured hymns, prayers and thanksgiving sessions, creating a spirited atmosphere of celebration and reflection. For members and leaders alike, the centenary was not only a commemoration of the past but also a mandate to carry the legacy of Saint Moses Orimolade into the future with greater unity and devotion.
