The Lagos State Police Command has announced the commencement of activities marking the National Police Day 2026 celebrations, themed “Community Partnership: Building Trust”. The event aims to build public trust, honour fallen heroes, and showcase the Nigeria Police Force’s operational capacity.
The scheduled programmes include:
– Sanitation and environmental cleaning exercise across all Area Commands on March 30
– Medical outreach at Computer Village, Ikeja on March 30
– Walkathon for public engagement on March 31
– Public sensitisation campaigns on electoral violence, cultism, and security concerns on April 1
– Stakeholder engagement and presentation of cheques to families of deceased officers on April 2
– Grand finale: Ceremonial parade and tactical display in Abuja on April 7
The public is invited to participate in the events to enhance trust and promote peace in Lagos State.
