Despite the unfriendly weather conditions and an impromptu downpour, the groups still went ahead with their agenda to get the relevant bodies and authorities
to put up new measures that are current with standard world practice to mete out justice and give good advocacy on the rights of abused people, women and children who are victims and have issues relating to child abuse, domestic violence and other life existential threats.

This they said, will only plunge the society into more distress and encourage the impunity of abuse.
According to a leader of the group, Barr. Olumide Kayode Omosebi, he called for expidient and tighter laws to handle offenders and provide justice for victims.
Another member, Barr. Toyin Ndidi-ojo Taiwo , emphasised the need for the urgency in the cases which have been sending not only children but men and women to their early graves, and exposing many more to domestic and social disasters. She also
She however called on the police to stop treating the issues of domestic violence as mere family matters that are meant to be settled unofficially.
A representative of the Attorney General during her short address admitted the problematic justice administration system in Nigeria and promised to take the message to the AG for further and swift action.
