The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has made significant breakthroughs in its fight against drug trafficking, intercepting cocaine consignments and arresting key suspects. In Lagos, a drug trafficking syndicate was dismantled, and 3.1kg of cocaine hidden in palm kernel oil cans was seized at Murtala Muhammed International Airport. The kingpin, 52-year-old King Arinze, was arrested at a hideout in Isolo, Lagos, and a warehouse with 886 tins of palm kernel extract was discovered.
In Borno, a female drug supplier to bandit groups, Aisha Adamu, 28, was arrested with 4.3kg of Colorado. A pastor and his wife were also arrested in Lagos for drug trafficking, with 11kg of skunk seized.
Other notable arrests include a 66-year-old man with 28,600 capsules of tramadol in Benue, and a 40-year-old woman with 45.6kg of skunk in Ibadan. The NDLEA has vowed to continue disrupting drug cartels, with Chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa praising officers for their efforts.
