Minister of finance, budget and national planning, Zainab Ahmed has expressed regrets on the present hardship Nigerians face over the non availability of the new Naira notes.
She assured that the present hardship is temporary as it will soon give way for the envisaged benefits of the monetary policy.
The Minister said this While presenting her ministry’s score card during the 65th Session of the State House Media Briefing organised by the Presidential Communications Team at the Aso Rock Villa Abuja.
The finance minister explained that the​ performance of her ministry’s key priorities and deliverables is noticeable in the increase in domestic revenue ,
(non oil sector)​ from 30%​ to 70%.
She said the finance act leverages the tax credit scheme as a financing option for road infrastructure and also taps on private sector expertise on road construction.
Meanwhile, the Federal Inland Revenue Service also increased its revenue base from six​ trillion in 2021 to 10.1 trillion in 2022.
