NPF OTA AREA COMMAND INTENSIFIES YULETIDE SECURITY WITH STRATEGIC SHOW OF FORCE

The Ota Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force has intensified security measures across its’ area of responsibility with a strategic show of force aimed at ensuring a peaceful and crime-free Yuletide celebration. The operation, led by the Area Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Shola Oladele, underscored the Command’s preparedness to maintain law and order during and after the festive period.
The show of force featured a robust deployment of officers and men of the Ota Area Command, operating in synergy with other security agencies. The coordinated exercise was designed to project security presence, deter criminal elements and reassure residents, commuters and visitors of the readiness of security forces to respond swiftly to any threat to public safety throughout the Yuletide season.
Under the leadership of ACP Shola Oladele, the operation was executed with clear command structure and strategic positioning across key locations within Ota. Patrol teams, mobile units and operational personnel were visibly deployed, demonstrating tactical readiness and inter-agency cooperation in safeguarding lives and property.
The exercise formed part of the Command’s broader festive security strategy, which prioritizes crime prevention through visibility, intelligence-led policing and coordinated response mechanisms. By taking a proactive stance, the Sango Ota Area Command reinforced its’ resolve to deny criminal elements any opportunity to exploit the increased movement and activities associated with the Yuletide period.
With the successful conduct of the show of force, the Ota Area Command has sent a clear message of zero tolerance for criminality. Residents are encouraged to go about their lawful activities with confidence, assured of sustained security presence before, during and after the Yuletide celebrations.
