The Ogun State Police Command has addressed allegations of professional misconduct raised by the Safer Society for Children (SSC) Foundation and the Elegant Nurses Forum (ENF) regarding the investigation of a rape incident in Ijebu-Ode.
The Command asserts that the investigation was conducted professionally, with the suspects formally charged to court and the case actively handled by the judiciary.
The Police maintain that the victim’s safety, dignity, and rights were prioritized throughout the investigation, and an internal probe into the petition’s claims has been initiated.
