The Commissioner of Police, CP, Lagos State has been called upon to do the needful by enforcing the court order restraining the Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, Lagos, Mr. Valentine Buraimoh from forceful take-over of Olorunda Oyinlola, Market FESTAC.
Traders of the market totalling about five thousand made the call, among other demands in a petition to the CP against Mr. Buraimoh.
This came as the council chairman on Friday last week inaugurated the market under a new name, in disobedience to a court injunction.
Speaking to newsmen after submitting the petition, counsel to the traders, Mr. Adesina Ogunlana noted that such deliberate breach of court orders by the council chairman amounted to executive rascality ,impunity and neglect of the powers of the judiciary.
