Dominican University in Ibadan has sought the endorsement of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, for its upcoming international conference on artificial intelligence and the future of humanity. The conference is scheduled to take place from May 6 to 7, 2026.
A delegation from the university, led by Professor Tim Odiaka, visited the Olubadan’s palace to request his royal support for the event. The conference theme is “Artificial Intelligence and the Human Future: Ethics, Communication, and the Voices of Women and Youth at the Margins”.
The Olubadan accepted the request and praised the university’s growing reputation, noting its contributions to academic excellence. He urged the institution to ensure broad public awareness of the conference and stressed the need to educate society on the implications of artificial intelligence.
