The Ondo State Police Command has defended the legality of the arrest of six suspected fraudsters involved in a miracle scam in Idanre, stating that the operation was conducted in strict compliance with due process and established criminal investigation procedures.
According to the Command, the suspects voluntarily made confessional statements, which will form part of the evidence in their prosecution. The allegations against the police have been formally noted, and a thorough, impartial, and transparent investigation has been ordered to ascertain the true facts of the matter.
Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, reiterated the Command’s zero-tolerance stance on corruption and misconduct, assuring the public that any officer or individual found culpable will be dealt with decisively. The Command encourages members of the public to cooperate with the police and report any credible information or complaints.
