The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to ensuring road safety and free traffic flow. Following a traffic incident involving a lone Mark Truck (Registration No: AGL 140 YE) carrying a container that fell at Otedola Bridge, outward Lagos along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, FRSC personnel promptly swung into action to manage the situation and restore order.
The incident, which occurred around 1920 hours today, resulted in heavy but moving traffic along the route. Thankfully, no injuries were recorded. FRSC officers, in collaboration with other sister agencies, are working tirelessly to clear the obstruction and ease traffic for commuters.
The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat, highlighted the critical importance of regular vehicle maintenance and urged companies to adopt the Safe-To-Load program to help prevent similar incidents in the future.
Motorists are advised to exercise patience, adhere to traffic instructions, and remain cautious while driving through the area. The FRSC assures the public that every effort is being made to resolve the situation swiftly and efficiently.
