Some journalists were today attacked at Otumara Community of Ilaje Area of Lagos Mainland, in Lagos State following the ongoing demolition of residential buildings
According to the journalists, they were in the community for a scheduled Press Conference and to ascertain the level of demolition and compliance following protests from residents of the community and some civil society groups led by the President Center For Human and Social-Economic Right, Comrade Alex Omotesen before they were attacked by thugs allegedly working for some politicians in the area.
The journalists upon arriving at the community said they were attacked by thugs with dangerous weapons.
One of the victims of the incident whose house was demolished and wife of late ITV Radio Staff Camera Man said the thugs have since been terrorizing them .
Mrs Olatunji said the thugs were mobilized by some political big wigs in the State.
The journalists attacked and who sustained various degree of injuries have all been taken to the hospital for treatment.
