The National Chairman Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVC),Honourable Princess Olabanji-Oba says the issue of insecurity has challenged the local government authorities to synergize with the local communities to establish internal security arrangements,to ensure that people are safe
Addressing journalists at a press briefing in Abuja,she noted that,safety and overall security at the grassroots are essentials for good governance in the country.
Olabanji-Oba also mentioned that the achievements which most local government areas in the country have recorded could not have been possible without the active support and collaboration from the executive arm of government
Also speaking,the ALGOVC vice chairman of Gombe State,Gambo Garko said the rise of insecurity in the local government area will drastically affect the level of food production which will invariably affect the nation’s food security.
