A non governmental organisation under the aegis of VOTE Must Count International Initiative, (VMCII) has faulted the February 25 presidential election saying the outcome is unacceptable.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, the Country Director VMCII Barry Johnson, says, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC contravened its own rules as the elections were characterized with irregularities.
He however called for the sack of the INEC Chairman Prof Mahmood Yakubu for not adhering to the promises made to Nigerians that the outcome of the poll will reflect the wishes of Nigerians.
The group also urged President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure the right thing is done to prevent the breakout of law and order.
The Group disclosed plans to stage a protest in Abuja as part of efforts to further drive it’s campaign for sanity in the electoral process.
