The President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Pharm. Ayuba Tanko Ibrahim, has commended the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his visionary leadership and commitment to healthcare delivery and infrastructure development. The PSN President made this remark during the 2026 PSN Colloquium in Yola, Adamawa State.

Pharm. Ibrahim described the Governor’s developmental strides as a testament to his purposeful governance, citing the visible revolution in the state’s infrastructure and healthcare delivery. He noted that the Fintiri administration has turned Yola into a modern urban hub with strategic infrastructure and a functional healthcare system [1].

The PSN leader praised the Governor’s dedication to sanitizing the healthcare industry, noting that his investments in medical infrastructure and the pharmaceutical value chain align with the profession’s vision for a secured health sector. He expressed his earnest wish that other governors would prioritize healthcare as a vital pillar of state development.

The Lead Speaker, Pharm. Olumide Akintayo, described Governor Fintiri as a “pro-pharmaceutical” leader who acts with precision and compassion. The Keynote Speaker, Prof. Cyril Odianose Usifoh, commended the strategic focus of the conference and praised the state’s readiness to host the event.

Governor Fintiri assured the delegation that the state would work closely with the PSN to deliver a world-class conference. The PSN leadership reaffirmed its commitment and support to the administration’s efforts in strengthening healthcare delivery and expanding access to safe, quality medicines.
