The Department of State Services have been called upon by security experts in Kogi state, to invite the Senatorial candidate for the People’s Democratic Party, to shed light on her links with a known terrorist that was nabbed by the department.
In separate interviews , the experts noted that Mrs Uduaghan’s claims of being attacked in violent acts by the state governor, could be said to be a rehearsh of her attack points towards the governor in the build-up to the 2019 elections. They decried it as irresponsible and was not the best way forward especially when the country is embattled with security challenges.
The calls by the security experts came on the heels of the investigations of how from Mrs Uduaghan’s camp members in a desperate manner sent messages to several media houses, to ignore a valid report of a DSS raid at Trademore estate in Abuja where a terrorist was apprehended a few days ago.
The messages sent by Mrs Uduaghan and her agents, also were laced with accusations that the real reason , was that nabbed suspect was abducted because he defected from the All Progressives Congress to the People’s Democratic Party.
From Mrs Uduaghan’s camp, the message it sent read: “The truth is “that it was the Governor of Kogi state who sent security operatives to pick a top party member who defected today the PDP . Please, ignore the story about security operatives byes picking up a terrorist at the Trademore Estate, Lugbe. It is not true,it did happen ” the message read.
Mainstream media houses and online news platforms reached out to security agencies for verification on the true state of the matter.
A security consultant, Fola Ibrahim who is also from Kogi state said trivialising the security situation in the country in the name of politics, is not what people should be playing at , at this time.
Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan has been a strong critic of the Yahaya Bello administration, used loose end blogs to attack the governor but in the last 24 hours, she has come under severe attack by well meaning Nigerians over her involvement with the terrorist nabbed from the Trademore estate.
