In a demonstration of steadfast commitment to excellence and professional growth, the Nigeria Police Force under the Inspector -General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has once again proven its dedication to rewarding hard work and upholding the values of service by promoting deserving officers nationwide, with the Sango Ota Area Command of the Force also as recipients of the promotion.
The Area Commander of Sango Ota Area Command ACP Shola Oladele, hosted a dignified decoration ceremony for its newly promoted officers in an atmosphere that was both celebratory and symbolic of a greater call to duty.
The event witnessed the elevation of officers from the rank of Corporal to Sergeant and from Sergeant to Inspector, covering the seven divisions under the command. It was a joyous occasion that affirmed the command’s continuous efforts in motivating its personnel and recognizing diligence and discipline within the force.
ACP Oladele, reminded the newly promoted officers that with new ranks come greater responsibilities. She urged them to uphold the values of integrity, discipline and service to the nation, warning that any unprofessional behaviour would not be tolerated and could result in demotion. Her words struck a chord, not just as a caution but as a guiding light for all officers present.
She further emphasized that the promotion exercise was not only a personal milestone for the recipients but also a powerful source of motivation to others, particularly those in the rank and file cadre, who aspire to rise through dedication and hard work.

ACP Oladele thanked the Inspector -General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun for his support and also called on all officers to throw their full support behind the Inspector-General, stressing that collective cooperation is key to maintaining peace and order across Nigeria.
She expressed confidence that with the right mindset and professional conduct, the Nigeria Police Force will continue to be a pillar of security and hope for all citizens.
