The Sango-Ota Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force on Monday 20th October 2025, maintained heightened vigilance as the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protests took place across parts of the country.
Area Commander, ACP Sola Oladele, addressed officers and men under her command early in the day, emphasizing the need for calm presence and professionalism while ensuring the safety of residents and commuters within the Sango-Ota area.
Patrol teams were deployed across key routes, markets and transport terminals to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
Throughout the period, police officers maintained visible patrols and monitored gatherings to discourage any attempt to disrupt public peace. Intelligence and surveillance units were on standby to respond swiftly to any incident that could threaten safety.
Residents went about their normal activities as the Sango-Ota Area Command reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and protecting law-abiding citizens during and after the demonstrations.
