ACP Shola Oladele, the Area Commander of the Sango Ota Police Area Command, demonstrated remarkable compassion and leadership when she rendered assistance to an accident victim during a routine patrol at the Onipanu area of Ota, Ogun State, on Wednesday, October 23, 2025. The incident occurred when a pedestrian, attempting to cross the road without checking for oncoming vehicles, collided with a motorcyclist and was knocked down.
At first, ACP Oladele’s patrol team feared the victim was dead, but she instructed her officers to rush him to the state general hospital for urgent medical attention. Upon arrival, hospital staff hesitated to attend to the victim until ACP Oladele personally purchased the required medication with her own money. Her compassionate act ensured the man received immediate treatment and he is now responding well. This gesture stands as a testament to her dedication to public service and a reminder that indeed, the Police is your friend.
