A political movement, Bola Tinubu Support Organisation in the United Kingdom (BTSO UK) and Diaspora Grassroots Support for better governance, say the President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu, will work toward healing Nigeria and forging a united country.
Mr Ade Adeshina, the group’s Director General, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria ((NAN) on Thursday.
He said: “As the President-elect is prepared to be sworn in on May 29 as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it marks a new era of Nigeria for Nigerians
“As he takes the mantle of power, it is a step in the right direction for our country because his leadership would ensure that peace and harmony among all citizens were restored.
“He would pave the way for peaceful coexistence based on mutual respect and trust for one another.”
Adeshina said the group is ready to invest in Nigeria; as they have been bidding their time, waiting for the right moment.
He emphasized that to build the “Nigeria of our dreams, all hands must be on deck.”
He added that the BTSO UK had been in the forefront of progressive movement in Nigeria because the country needed the right people at the political offices.
He, therefore, expressed confidence that Nigerians in the diaspora would be willing to invest heavily in Nigeria henceforth.
“Nigeria’s growing economy can benefit from those in the diaspora because of their enormous resources and technology.
“And as a group, we are in a position to facilitate the deepening of that relationship.
“Also, as Nigerians in the diaspora, we are willing to help in deepening the economic relationship.
“That is why the excitement and joy of a Tinubu presidency are very palpable among those of us in the diaspora,” he stated.
Adeshina also felicitated with the two-term former governor of Lagos on the occasion of his 71st birthday.
He prayed Almighty God to renew his strength and commitment to continually improve the living conditions of the people.
“I pray God grants him good health and divine wisdom in the service to our country and humanity.” NAN
