The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Nigeria has announced the release of the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) results for private candidates, 2025 – Second Series.
The examination, which took place from November 11 to December 17, 2025, saw 69,604 candidates register, with 65,752 sitting the exam at 370 centers across the country. Of these, 61,943 candidates (94.21%) have their results fully processed and released, while 3,809 (5.79%) are pending due to errors.
*Performance Statistics:*
– 51.69% obtained credit and above in a minimum of 5 subjects (with or without English Language and/or Mathematics)
– 42.17% obtained credit and above in a minimum of 5 subjects, including English Language and Mathematics
– Female candidates performed slightly better, with 51.61% achieving the required credits compared to 48.39% of male candidates
*Special Needs Candidates:*
235 candidates with special needs registered for the exam, including 3 visually impaired, 24 with impaired hearing, and 3 Albinos. All were adequately accommodated.
*Examination Malpractice:*
1,899 results (2.89%) are being withheld due to reported cases of examination malpractice. Affected candidates will be notified directly.
