Geng Quangrong, the Chinese man who stabbed his girlfriend, Ummu Kulthum, to death last Friday at Kabuga Quarters, Dorayi Babba, in Kano State, has confessed that he killed her because she refused to marry him after he had lavished her with gifts.
Deng confessed to the crime after being apprehended by police in Kano.
According to Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, a police spokesman, the suspect, 47, committed the crime after scaling the fence of the deceased’s residence to gain access, where he stabbed her multiple times until she died.
Geng claimed that Ummu promised to marry him but then broke her promise after he had spent so much money on her.
The suspect said that he was angered by her deception and he decided to attack and kill the deceased at her residence.
