Ola Aina, a defender for the Super Eagles, is about to agree to a new two-year deal with Serie A team Torino.
Aina was on the verge of quitting the Turin club this summer after he was benched in the second half of the last campaign due to his participation with Nigeria at the Cameroon-hosted 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nevertheless, the 25-year-old has had a strong start to the 2022–23 season, playing in 10 league games for Ivan Juric’s team.
Les Transferts reports that Torino’s negotiations with the adaptable defender have advanced favorably.

On the contract extension, a statement is anticipated to be released soon.
Aina will continue at the Stadio Olimpico until 2025 instead of leaving for the open market in the summer of 2019.
He initially moved to Torino on a loan basis in 2018, and the Serie A team made the move permanent the following year.
