Adegboyega Oyetola, the governor of Osun State, has vowed to go to the election petition tribunal and restore his electoral authority.

He also reaffirmed his belief in the nation’s electoral system at this time.

On Tuesday in Osogbo, during the mass walk organized for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, the APC presidential candidate, Oyetola informed members of the Osun All Progressives Congress (APC) of this.

The Osun Governor personally led the party members in the walk and told them that the APC was still the opposition party in Osun and throughout Nigeria.

He also revealed that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s nominee for president, would continue to be the opponent to beat in the presidential election scheduled for February 2023.

“This turnout proves that our party is still the one to beat in Osun,” the organizer said. In the race for president, Asiwaju is still the one to beat. Allow me to reassure you once more that I will defend my mandate in court. I have such faith in that. I’ll take back my mandate, he declared.

While claiming that the APC presidential candidate can spot issues and offer answers, he also said that his accomplishments and experience as Lagos State Governor from 1999 to 2003 are a testament to what he will bring to the role of president of Nigeria.

The APC members walked 9.2 kilometers, passing via Alekowodo, Olaiya, Odi-Olowo, Jaleyemi, Oja-Oba, and Station Road, starting at the Osun State Government House in Oke-Fia.
