The rulling All Progressives congress (APC) has asked the leadership of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) and Labour party to seek redress and stop the unwarranted attempts to sabotage the election and throwing the country into chaos and avoidable crisis.
National chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu made the call at the National secretariat of the party in a press conference on Thursday, in Abuja.
He noted that the constitution only permits aggrieved individuals or groups to seek redress of electoral grievances and not to abort nor disturb the choices freely made by the people.
Adamu said the call for the cancellation of the election over the unproven allegations of electoral fraud is the highest level of desperation even though they ought to be good sports men in the political arena.
The national chairman of the party however, commended the Independent National Electoral commission INEC for not bowing to pressure as he also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari for the peaceful conduct on the election as well as the president-elect’s Victory.
