The illustrious Ilesanmi family on Saturday, July 22, 2023, gave a remarkable farewell to their father to celebrate his passing away at a ripe old age and living a fulfilled life worthy of emulation.
Alhaji Alfred Olalekan Olufunmilayo Ilesanmi, was a man who had the fear of God, love of family and his community. The attestation to this is his children, who have all turned out excellently in their endeavours of life and still show the values they imbibed from him in character, love, tolerance, patience and resilience.
Alhaji Ilesanmi was a Muslim but his tolerance and acceptance of all faith is shown with his children some of whom embraced the Christian faith.
The burial reception took place at the Caroline Adefiola Adebiyi Women Conference Center, (city of God), Majiyagbe, Ipaja, Lagos. Here, family, friends and other invitees were feted to a colourful reception that showcased the life and times of Alhaji Alfred Ilesanmi.
It was a celebration of a life well lived as all who were present, attested to being beneficiaries of his benevolence and love in one way or the other.
Several groups were represented and although it is a passing away to death, posterity will remember him in all his goodness in every sphere.
Left to survive him are his wife, children and grandchildren.
