The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) says it has secured approval for its National Headquarters to conduct the current promotional exercise which would have moved over one thousand and three hundred officers of the Command to its Zone-D Zonal Headquarters in Minna, Niger State leaving their security beats.
The State Commandant, Umar Jimada disclosed this while addressing Journalists in Ilorin the State capital where he noted that the creation of Kwara examination centre will save costs and risks of travelling to Niger State for the examination considering the current economic situation of the country.
Meanwhile the Command has arrested six suspected burglars for theft and vandalism of public and private infrastructures in the Tanke community, a community hosting largest number of students of the University of Ilorin
The suspects according to the Command would be charged to court for prosecution.
