The 74th Annual Council Meeting of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has concluded in Accra, Ghana, with Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, Ghana’s Chief Government Nominee on Council, elected as Vice Chairman for a one-year tenure, succeeding Honourable Amos Armah Fully of Liberia.
The meeting, held from March 24 to 28, 2026, was opened by Ghana’s President, John Dramani Mahama, represented by Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang. President Mahama praised WAEC’s 74-year commitment to upholding educational standards and regional collaboration.
