Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, visited the Federal Road Safety Corps and Nigerian Correctional Service in Ogun State this week to deepen collaboration on public safety and criminal justice. He said modern security requires sustained cooperation, intelligence sharing, and coordinated action among all agencies within Nigeria’s internal security system. During the visits, he presented copies of _The New Dawn_, the Nigeria Police Force newspaper, to promote strategic communication and inter-agency information sharing.
At FRSC Ogun Command, CP Ojajuni met Sector Commander CC Oludare Ogunjobi and senior officers to discuss traffic management, highway patrols, accident prevention, and emergency response. He commended the Corps for its professionalism and efforts to reduce road crashes, and praised the FRSC Special Marshal Initiative as a strong community-based partnership that boosts public participation in safety and order.
At the NCoS Ogun Command, Controller of Corrections Abioye Kamoru Adesina hosted the CP and delegation for talks on custodial security, inmate management, and rehabilitation. Ojajuni lauded ongoing reforms in inmate education, skills acquisition, and behavioural reformation, saying they are vital to cutting recidivism and supporting long-term stability. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining partnerships that ensure peace and protect lives and property across Ogun State.
