The Lagos State Police Command, via its Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), held a sensitization programme for students in the Orile-Iganmu and Apapa area as part of Children’s Day activities. The event, hosted at a school in Apapa/Iganmu, brought together students from several schools with community leaders, teachers, and stakeholders committed to youth development and crime prevention.
Delivering the Commissioner of Police’s message, CSP Ogunleti Ogunleti urged students to reject cultism, drug abuse, and other criminal vices that destroy futures. He encouraged them to stay disciplined, make informed choices, and build positive relationships that support their education and long-term goals.
Also speaking, Chief Hakeem Oladipupo, the Bashorun of Apapa Kingdom, praised the initiative and told students to focus on their studies and good conduct. He noted that early engagement by police and community partners is key to raising responsible young people and creating a safer Lagos for future generations.
