The Ogun State Police Command says it has contained a security incident reported on Thursday, June 25, 2026, around the J4 area of the Sagamu–Benin Expressway. Following a distress report, operatives moved in immediately and activated a coordinated response to secure the corridor.
On CP Bode Ojajuni’s directive, the Command deployed four Police Mobile Force units, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, and other tactical teams. Officers are currently carrying out an intensive bush-combing operation to track fleeing suspects, dominate the area, and protect commuters and residents.
The Command said there is no cause for alarm, noting that adequate security measures are in place and operational progress is being made to ensure public safety along the expressway.
