Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of ICT and South-West Geo-Political Zone, DIG Adegoke Fayoade, has ended a two-day official visit to the Lagos State Police Command. The visit is part of IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu’s ongoing tour to strengthen policing strategies, boost operational efficiency, and deepen police-public relations across the zone. During stakeholders’ engagements, DIG Fayoade stressed the need for stronger collaboration between the Police and the public to manage security and sustain peace in Lagos and the wider South-West.
In a meeting with officers and men, the DIG restated the IGP’s commitment to professionalism, discipline, welfare, technology, and improved service delivery across all Commands. He also carried out strategic engagements outside the Command, including a courtesy visit to Lagos State Government where he was received by Chief of Staff Tayo Ayinde, and a meeting with LSSTF Executive Chairman Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan to deepen security partnerships. He further paid a royal visit to Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, with discussions focused on community partnership, peace, and the role of traditional institutions in security.
DIG Fayoade commended the Commissioner of Police and Lagos Command personnel for their dedication to law and order. He urged them to remain steadfast, professional, and people-oriented in their duties as the Force continues to push reforms and technology adoption for better policing outcomes in the region.
