The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, on a working visit to Ota Area Command, reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to intelligence-led policing, community partnership and the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure. Accompanied by the Command Management Team, the CP paid royal homage to His Royal Majesty, Oba Prof. Abdul Kabir Adeyemi Obalanlege, Olota of Ota, and other traditional rulers. The Olota commended the impact of Operation Kosaye on security in Ogun State and pledged sustained support from the traditional institution.
At the Ota Area Command Headquarters, the Commissioner engaged the Area Commander, ACP Shola Oladele, Executive Chairmen of Ado-Odo/Ota and Ifo LGAs, representatives of sister security agencies, PCRC, religious and community leaders. CP Ojajuni emphasized that policing is a collective responsibility and called for improved intelligence sharing and inter-agency cooperation. He highlighted the successes of Operation Kosaye along the Lagos-Ogun corridor and introduced the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) as well as Gateway Shield, the Command’s integrated digital security platform designed to enhance community policing through real-time reporting and distress alerts.
As part of efforts to safeguard critical infrastructure, CP Ojajuni visited Sona Group of Industries, The Papilon Company Limited and Geepee Company Limited to assess their security architecture and emergency preparedness. He commended the organizations for their contributions to economic development and urged sustained partnership with law enforcement. The Commissioner reiterated that the Ogun State Police Command will continue to deepen community policing, strengthen inter-agency collaboration and deploy proactive strategies to ensure the safety of residents and investors across the state.
