The Chief Executive Officer of Razor Media Group, Mr. Odita Sunday-Udemaguna, has reached the historic Great Wall of China as part of his participation in the Seminar on Fruit Processing and Comprehensive Utilization for Belt and Road Countries, held in Beijing from August 4 to 17, 2026.

Mr. Odita was among participants drawn from nine countries—Jordan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Tanzania, Antigua and Barbuda, Costa Rica, Thailand and Bangladesh—who participated in the two-week seminar designed to deepen knowledge and cooperation in fruit processing and comprehensive utilisation.

Speaking at the closing ceremony on behalf of the participants, Mr. Odita described the programme as a remarkable experience that brought together people from different countries and transformed them from strangers into colleagues, friends and partners.

He expressed appreciation to the China National Research Institute of Food & Fermentation Industries Corporation for organising the programme, as well as the organisers, facilitators, professors, supervisors and other officials who contributed to its success.

According to him, the technical knowledge acquired during the seminar would provide valuable resources for participants as they return to their respective countries and seek to apply the lessons learned.

The Razor Media Group CEO also commended the hospitality extended to the participants throughout their stay in China, describing their accommodation and general treatment as exceptional.

One of the highlights of the programme was the participants’ visit to the Great Wall of China, an experience Mr. Odita described as unforgettable.

Reflecting on the visit in his closing remarks, he said the ancient structure offered a powerful metaphor for China’s development, pointing to the importance of vision, resilience, unity and discipline in nation-building.

Standing atop the historic landmark, he said, participants were reminded that great achievements are built gradually—brick by brick, generation by generation—through patience, commitment and sustained effort.

For Mr. Odita, the Great Wall experience became one of the defining moments of the China trip, combining cultural discovery with lessons that extend beyond the seminar’s technical focus.

The seminar also featured study tours to several Chinese companies and cultural institutions, including Damin Food Company Limited in Zhangzhou, Fujian Zishan Group Company Limited, Tianfu Tea Culture Industrial Park, Fujian Lixing Food Company Limited and the Ten Fu Tea Museum.

Mr. Odita said the visits provided participants with first-hand exposure to Chinese innovation, industrial organisation and food-processing practices.

He further praised the programme’s group supervisors for maintaining professionalism and encouraging punctuality and time consciousness throughout the seminar.

Beyond the formal lectures and study tours, Mr. Odita highlighted the relationships established among the participants as one of the seminar’s most valuable outcomes.

With representatives from nine countries sharing the same classroom and learning environment, the programme created opportunities for cross-cultural interaction, networking and cooperation.

As the participants prepared to return home, Mr. Odita said they were leaving China with more than technical knowledge. They were returning with new friendships, professional connections, cultural experiences and a renewed appreciation of what can be achieved when nations cooperate.

The Great Wall, meanwhile, stands as perhaps the most memorable image from the journey—a historic monument that provided the participants with a lasting symbol of perseverance, unity and the power of building for future generations.

Mr. Odita concluded his closing address by thanking the hosts, lecturers, supervisors and fellow participants, expressing confidence that the relationships and knowledge gained during the seminar would continue to produce results long after the programme had ended.

“This seminar may be coming to a close, but the relationships we have built and the lessons we have learned will continue to bear fruit, quite literally, for many years to come,” he said.

For the Razor Media Group CEO, the journey to China has therefore become not only an international learning experience, but also a personal milestone—culminating in a visit to one of the world’s most enduring symbols of human perseverance: the Great Wall of China.
