The Association of Defence Correspondents of Nigeria (ADCON) has called for a stronger partnership with the 81 Division, Nigerian Army, to promote accurate and responsible defence reporting.
ADCON President, Philip Nwosu of The Sun Newspapers, made the call during the association’s maiden courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding, 81 Division, Major General Adebayo Babalola, in Lagos, noting that the visit was to formally introduce the body and build a structured engagement with the Division.
Nwosu led a delegation comprising Dr. Hope Orivri (Onepage Africa Media), Eugene Agha (Daily Trust), Victor Mbadike (News Central), Hyacinth Nwafor (Hybrid News), Dennis Okosun (National Wire), Onuora Aninwobodo (Nigeria Info/Wazobia Radio), Bertram Nwannekanma (The Guardian), Mary Abayomi-Fatile (Radio Nigeria) and Mike Osemeke (Newsflash 247).
