Before the upcoming 2023 elections, the Lagos State branch of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) formally proclaimed its support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.
Its chairman, Reverend Stephen Adegbite, warned association members that if they don’t back Tinubu, God will punish them.
Adegbite spoke on Sunday in Lagos at the presentation of the stewardship report of his 12-year Senate tenure, which was made by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON, who represents the Lagos Central Senatorial District in the Red Chamber.

The head of Lagos CAN went on to describe how the former governor of Lagos started a fund to support sending Christians to Jerusalem, which, according to him, is still active today.
