DSP OLUSEYI B. BABASEYI

A heartfelt tribute to CC Oludare Ogunjobi, Sector Commander, FRSC, Ogun State.

CC Oludare Ogunjobi, Sir, it is heartbreaking to write these words about you. Your passing is a painful reminder of how fleeting life can be.

I remember our first encounter during the visit of the Commissioner of Police to the FRSC Command in Ogun State, and later, when the PROs across the state paid you a courtesy visit. What stayed with me was your towering presence, eloquence, composure and, above all, your impeccable dressing.

I admired your elegance, only to discover that we shared the same tailor. He always spoke of you with so much admiration that your name became familiar even in our little conversations. When I received the news of your passing, he was the first person who came to mind. I could only imagine his reaction, but his heartbreak was profound. That moment touched me deeply. It reminded me that beyond the uniform, the rank and the office, the true measure of a person lies in the hearts they touch and the memories they leave behind.

Sir, our encounters may have been few, but the impression you left was unforgettable.

An Iroko has fallen, but the memory of its towering presence will remain with us.

God knows best, even when our hearts struggle to understand. May He comfort your family, colleagues and everyone whose heart aches at your departure.

Rest in power, CC Oludare Ogunjobi, Sir. May your soul find eternal rest in the bosom of the Almighty.

Sun re o, Sir. You will be remembered.
